If you’ve been a regular reader of the Windows Tip Sheet column from MCPMag.com, you probably noticed a change recently. This column is changing subject matter to PowerShell. It is now called Prof. PowerShell.

Online Windows PowerShell Training
We are going to offer an online training course in Windows PowerShell, with registration opening next month and classes beginning in late June. Our initial class will be on Windows PowerShell Fundamentals, although we’ll follow-on with an Intermediate and then Advanced course, as well. Full details will be announced once registration is available.
The really important thing is that we’ll be limiting the class to just thirty students. So keep an eye on this blog for the announcement, and don’t wait too long to sign up – we’re anticipating a sellout pretty quickly.
Some highlights:
Techmentor: The San Francisco IT Treat
I finished up my slide decks for the first Techmentor conference of the year in San Francisco (March 30 – April 3). If you’ve never been to a Techmentor conference you’re missing a great opportunity to hear and see your favorite IT speakers. Plus it’s a lot of fun to meet your peers, swap war stories and even some strategy and tips. Here’s what I have in store for you…
PowerShell Class Filling Up!
Eeek – I just checked the roster and our March Windows PowerShell class is almost full, with just about 5 seats remaining. Our additional bonus class (we’re doing an evening dinner seminar on SAPIEN PrimalScript – and hey, it includes a great dinner) only has 4 seats left. The moral? If you’re wanting some PowerShell […]
Online PowerShell Training – Emerging Details
We’re starting to work out some of the details for our upcoming Windows PowerShell online training, which we hope to begin sometime in July. These details are pretty preliminary and subject to change, but here’s where we are right now.
ScriptingAnswers.com, ScriptingTraining.com, Spring PowerShell Class News
Some news tidbits: We’ve re-launched ScriptingAnswers.com with a new, fresh look. The site itself has been reorganized into four “zones,” allowing us to expand the resources offered on the site while keeping the navigation sensible. We’re also bringing more attention to free resources like the TechNet Webcasts Don has done, the “Essentials” pages, and so […]
Exchange + PowerShell Book Needs Reviewers
Hot on the heels of Windows Server 2008: What’s New | What’s Changed, we have another book in need of reviewers who can offer technical corrections, suggestions, and comments on chapters. The book, Exchange Management Shell: TFM, covers the nuts and bolts of managing Exchange Server 2007 (not previous versions) using the Windows PowerShell command-line. […]
Win Free Online PowerShell Training!
We have a new survey posted at http://surveys.sapien.com/poll.asp?z=1. We’re seriously moving toward an online training offering, and would like some detailed input from the community. As “thanks,” we’re prepared to offer a free spot in our first class to one person completing the survey – just enter your e-mail address in the right spot in […]
Win2008 Book Reviewers Needed – Earn a Free Copy!
I have an immediate need for about a dozen reviewers who can offer feedback/suggestions/comments/corrections on “Windows Server 2008: What’s New / What’s Changed” by Greg Shields. We’ll offer a free copy of the book or ebook (excluding shipping) to folks who review at least 8 chapters in a timely fashion; we’re looking for a thorough […]
Exchange + PowerShell = Book
One of the fun parts about my job is helping new authors find a voice and an audience. That’s certainly the case for Ilse van Criekinge, an Exchange Server MVP who’s busy writing Exchange Management Shell: TFM for SAPIEN Press (www.sapienpress.com/exchange.asp). A couple of unedited preview chapters are currently available for download, along with a […]
