All major releases are included as a free upgrade for those with an active subscription.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PowerShell Studio 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image_thumb12.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"244\" height=\"143\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We worked hard on overhauling the parser and other internal systems so that we can implement your requested features and improve the overall editing experience in PowerShell Studio 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the new additions to PowerShell Studio 2015:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Improved Syntax Coloring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We improved the syntax coloring so that it better reflects the complexities of Windows PowerShell.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Double Quote Strings<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>As per your request, variables and sub-expressions are now colored in double quote strings:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image13.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"651\" height=\"86\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>PrimalSense and Parameter Sets<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>PowerShell Studio 2015 will display the syntax for each parameter set defined in your functions:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image14.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"548\" height=\"142\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It also displays the syntax for dot sourced files:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image15.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"472\" height=\"121\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And even project files:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image16.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"480\" height=\"141\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The comment-based help synopsis is now displayed as well.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Casting and Types<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In PowerShell Studio 2015 we improved type coloring to include subtypes:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image17.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"461\" height=\"55\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As always, PowerShell Studio only colors valid types in order to provide you with visual cues when something isn\u2019t right:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image18.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"248\" height=\"56\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Improved Contextual PrimalSense<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We improved the PrimalSense to make it easier to pick up where you left off. PowerShell Studio\u2019s PrimalSense is now more contextually aware.<\/p>\n<p>Press [Ctrl + Space] to bring up the PrimalSense:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image19.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"430\" height=\"146\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The PrimalSense will list the appropriate items depending on the context.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image20.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"449\" height=\"223\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>PrimalSense for parameter attributes:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sapien.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/image21.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"605\" height=\"210\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These internal changes are stepping stones to future improvements.
